Whats with all the freeking dogs at Hidden Valley these days? I dont mind a well trained dog like Mojito a awesome black lab that sat quietly waiting for it's buddy to finish a route but the last few days at Hidden Valley sounded like a dog pound with howlin screaming dogs all day long. Gets a little old or maybe I'm getting a little old?

I would be in J tree right now if I didn't have a dog.

Ever wonder how annoying we sound to the coyotes, fox, bobcats and birds that live there?

Don't get me wrong, I love dogs, have had labs all my life but for some reason there just seemed to be more and louder dogs than usual out there. I was blessed to hear the coyotes every night as they yipped in the distance. I would much rather folks bring their dogs than their cats, well maybe not, coyotes deserve a easy meal from time to time :)

Batrock its cool man. Most folks here are dog people. My dog are with me at all times. The cool thing about Climber dogs is that they get to go to the outdoors. Nothing worse is to have a dog stuck inside or behind a fence all it’s life. But training is a must. I hear ya.

Gotta ask, big dogs or small (like the small one next to my apartment that yaps at all times).

Cause if it's a crew from Florida out there (HVCG), they just rescued the big dogs from the South LA Animal Shelter. The dogs were scheduled to be put down the day they adopted them. One of them was hit by a car and has a limp but is a mellow dog, the other is a pit bull that while has gorgeous coloring, still had a hard life in south LA. Both seemed very well behaved, especially considering their circumstances. Neither were barkers.

If it is those dogs, give them another chance like their new owners did. They'll be headed home to Florida soon and on to better lives.

Yappy small dogs? I have no answer for that. Just disrespectful owners.

Probably a bit of both. Still, I'm more OK with the dogs than the "woo" people. When I hear that I wish I had a sniper rifle and training to use it effectively, or maybe a big rock to trundle.

All I heard last night was the howling wind. I left my dog at home, I wish I would have brought him. Lot's a four legged creatures about.

I'm in site 1 if anybody wants to climb. Well I'm at the coffee shop, but I'll be back up there in a couple of hours.

Missing my dog.
