It's late coming, this summer of ours on the Eastside. Well, it's late for us humanoids but right on time for the Grand Scheme of our brilliant planet and all the machinations that work to keep it on the pure side.

This TR really started several years ago when the configuration of ST and me collided and life was birthed anew. A kind of evolutionary grand blast, but on an individual scale.

So here we go. Another adventure in the life of a former non-adventurer. I've got to say that Ann Tyler's books play a big part in this. But more so .....Ever So More.....are yo Dudettes and Dudes that have opened Alice's door and made the surreal become real, made life Live.

Yo taught me to pack, to climb, helped me get the right gear, to have SO much fun in Camp 4....and everytime I climb the rock I hear your collective voices saying, "Trust your feet." Now I tell others, cause you were so Right On.

Once again I have left a job to search for life. I know, you know, what that means. It's not done easily. I hope to find more, to be more and to give more to this planet and its inhabitants.

This year is challenging as the high points of the Eastside are snow covered, water immersed and the jobs are hanging in space. But if we pause to reflect aren't we all .....hanging in space. One doesn't really know what tomorrow holds.

So I guess I'll go for it, Cause I don't want to wait to live. I don't want to be too late for life.

I'll do my best to keep yo posted on this TR of climbing and more. So far the equipment seems to be a-ok. Please keep a prayer and positive thought for the adventure. There is no safety net, there is only today. Peace and Joy, lynne

Sounds grand, keeping the Girl alive. I wish you the best, in whatever form it shows itself. Sometimes, not knowing what form "the best" is is the best form and fun. Go with God.

Woohoo Lynnie. Have a great time. I love the picture of the ropes, relaxed and clean, chilling on your couch. And of course, every really important, exciting trip starts with packing and repacking a bunch of times.

Susan, hair doeth not a woman make. Sure Ferretlegger has said the same....It will be Awesome to see yo again. Does your sailboat skip the waves in October? When I (lord willing and the creek don't rise) return to So Cal from No Cal I would love to sail away with you all. Really! I love the water and the sea.

And to all yo dear and special peeps that have posted here...Gracias. Your words of fun, encouragement and friendship mean much, much to lynnie. Cheers :D

Hi Lynne, it's great to hear from you again!

Your posts two years ago were some of the first I read on ST. I think my favorite was your thread on getting ready for the Bachar memorial and Camp 4. It was so much fun for all of us to relive our first time in the Valley and all the things we had to learn.

Good luck with your current endeavor and I'll look forward to hearing the details as you go along.

So glad you get to finally make your move. I'll be following your adventures online and who knows, maybe we will share a rope this summer, finally!
