Climbing is a good reason to stick around. Even failures, are actually successes. As with climbing, you can't do everything by yourself. Try to get some help.

+1 for Port : even failures are successes. Our perspective is our reality.

If anything, I always get off the internet asap and get fresh air/go outside when I'm feeling the like. Feels less trapped, more expansive and breathable.
Being able to make those choices is reason worth staying around.

There are lots of reasons Michelle.

You already know what many of them are.

What are these disappointments?

hey there say, michelle... are you the same one on my facebook... if so, say, i had seen you been having a hard time about something...

please write me... maybe i can share... i had bad times after losing my home, and kids' love and friendship, etc... (my very own babies, mind you)... and i had to really start all over again...

edit: andddddddddddd, during this time of starting over, i even had the ex, working to destroy my off-shoots crops from my new crop... well--the good lord made sure that MY crop stood, the off-shoots are the business of other "tenders" now, as it is so with the hears of others... we can not 'til their decision to uproot crops--but we CAN 'til our heart's desire for new life... new friends, new support, new loved ones...
and--new life that we can OFFER to others, as to hope...

>:D< it just takes, saying yes, to a new job--a new open door...
it then feels so good to be new... it just takes a bit for it to "kick in" (like spring does, after a hard near-unbearable winter)...

startng over:
first: it was being very dead inside, for a long long dormant time, until new life budded... it budded by just "tending the new soil" "rooting out the old painful roots of 'before'"... and then, after years (yes, sometimes it does take years--but any really good stable crop does) i had a rich and wonderful new life...

new things really have to grow... and when you see the "dead remants" minus the fruit of what used to be, it tempts many many folks to want to be dead as well (and thus, unfeeling) but people-folks are NOT like dead crops... the inner spirit will still live on, and in the very same pain that dies in, if things are unsettled... :(

there are so many lovely crops, just WAITING to bloom from you... from YOU--a very special unique seed, meant to be here to do something that NO ONE else can do... how very very special that is, michelle...

You don't know what tomorrow may bring. How boring life would be if you did.

People care about you.

If you really didn't care, you would not post here.

I care about you and we've never even met.

Come out to Joshua Tree this coming weekend and relax or party or both.

You can stay with us.

You do matter, whether you realize it right now or not.

Joshua Tree sunsets, stories around the campfire, cookies fresh out of the oven, the first cup of coffee, a down comforter, fuzzy slippers, skinny dipping in waterfalls, raising a fish with the perfect cast and a #14 dry fly, lung busting single track, fresh powder, laughing children, rippin guitar solos, fresh chips and homemade guac, saunas and hot springs under the stars, meteor showers, wingate splitters, desert towers, spring in the desert, summer wildflowers in the rockies, a tail wagging dog, the deafening silence after a big snow, classic movies, the no-thinking total immersion from any intense activity...riding climbing skiiing, teaching your nieces and nephews, fall colors, old friends, new friends, classic metal and g-funk era hip hop, Trane on the sax, and ass shaking live music, new restaurants, sunrise on a long drive...

Plenty of reasons.

To open your heart in such a way is a powerful act of courage,
and of revelation... to those of us who hear the bare and
clearly real pain. I don't think anyone can say they know how
you feel, but indeed there are others of us who get pretty far out
at times, who know what dark is. The anguish of life, simple life itself,
can at times be overwhelming. At times I'm not sure what keeps me
going, but if it should or could mean anything I will tell you
to hang in, to fight the fight, and do what you just did: reach
out. You might be able to connect to someone who could become an
invaluable friend... in spirit if not in the flesh...
I have a sense of many friends I have never met, and their
presence exercises my mind, the lonesome meditation of a
relative madman, warden of time's countless kindless wonders.
At times life is an avant garde movie, with characters who
stand about like trees and stare into space. Somewhere ahead,
hopefully nowhere soon, we shall each be clay-decorated skulls
in the museum of infinity. Think how precious it is to move now
your face, to smile, to keep your tongue in your cheek, as opposed
to the endless gaze. Sorry, discouragement... these are all
faces among the many disguises of the cosmos. We have to shake off
our vanity and try to find even some faint, or remote, strain of
love... to hold to. I send you well wishes, a thin-winged breath
of friendship I hope might lighten your pain amid all the heavy
death and deepness of a world's despair.

What's the problem, Michelle?

As others have said, you're obviously just frustrated. It happens. This is a good place to vent. Let it out and maybe share with us. It does help.

Sorry for your pain, but life does throw you sh#t sandwiches from time to time. I never like watching somebody chomp on one, but I always sympathize.

Buck up, girl!
