Let's hear it for my home boy - the Jets didn't win but they played a Hell of a game and are young - Sanchez played beautifully - he's quick, smart, agile and boy does he have an arm. He's going to be super fun to watch next year too, especially when the Jets' defense matures. I miss him not being at SC but am stoked he's doing so well in the NFL.
Second game still on, haven't watched it yet (taping) but this could be a fun Superbowl regardless of who's in it - I'm torn between the Saints and Vikings, kinda pullin' for the old guy!

He should have stayed for his Sr. year at SC. Then perhaps they wouldn't have sucked this year.

You're right Curt, I wish he had stayed too. Having lost Norm Chow, Steve Sarkasian, Stafon Johnson as well as a bunch of the defensive guys to graduation they could have used him (as well as some leadership...sheesh. But that's for a different thread)!
Back to the NFL...

wow! what a game.
enjoy your tape and don't look at the net until you're done.
BTW... as a dawg fan I'm rather pleased that Sark went north.
And now Carrol is going north as well.
If the other team had won this game I wasn't going to watch the Superbowl. But now I will.

Pretty good job for a rookie.
I'm not sure USC would have been that much better this year if he'd stayed. They lost too many people on the defensive side.
Arrgh! Vikings screwed the game away. Dominated the Saints but wayyyy too many mistakes. And a few bad calls. No way was that last one pass interference.
NFL has to get rid of the stupid coin-flip overtime rule.

Is Marino the only rookie to go to the SB?

Marino's rookie year was '83. He led Miami to the S.B. in '84
As a Dolphin fan it kills me to see a Jet's QB with sooooo much skill. But as a football fan..........Sanchez is the real deal!
