I remember reading this article when it came out. What a good read. That may have been the last year Climbing published good material. I was lucky to attend a Bridwell slide show years back, very entertaining and inspiring.

Yeah, that was back when climbing was like as thick as a phone book and contained more than 1000 words in the articles.
Now, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a higher word count when you combine all the ads and compare to all the editorial content.
