I think it was "Chief"(Perry?)who deleted the very direct and important statement. He was speaking from a place That I cannot. He was speaking from personal experience, having climbed and hung out with JB.
I only met JB twice, & never climbed with him.
The 1st time was in public where he carried himself in his well deserved aloof and superior manner. The second time we were alone under the moon & stars. He was almost fawning in his invitation to join him and those with him to climb the next day. He insisted that we would be included. I was sad to have to decline the offer.
JB, was opinionated, & he was often right to be so. He was human with quirks & shortcomings but as the legend is well deserved his presence was inspiring, his accomplishments at the time unique, his vision & dreams for the future based on strongly built ideals.
STILL TOO SOON
Actually, it gets thrown up into my "recommended for you" list on my youtube feed every other month or so, which creeps me out.
(&yup like a stalker I get the miraculous accomplishments of the Mighty Mite; Mz Hill, but I asked for those by subscribing to her channel)
