And don’t say “you guys.” It could be interpreted as leaving out women, said Ms. Marlowe, who realized it was offensive only when someone confronted her for saying it during a presentation.

Here we go again. Last week the progressive leftist culture police were onto Math and the class and racial oppression inherent therein. This week it looks like it's nothing less than the brutish gender-directed retrograde behavior in climbing gyms which has become the focus of the politically correct revolution warriors -- ever on the hunt for the latest microagression - a hunt commenced by social media hounds set loose from within the yapping warrens of social media " climbing communities"

Your question is fascinating. I think we can deduce an answer, but it's going to take some follow-up questions. To whit:

Had you previously declared yourself as being in a safe-space? If "yes," then you were certainly being microaggressed. If "no," we must continue the decision tree.

Did you perceive that "hon" assumed a gender? If "yes," then you were being microaggressed. If "no," we must continue the decision tree.

Had you warned the person that you were being triggered? If "yes," then then next "hon" incident was certainly microaggression. If "no," we must continue the decision tree.

Did you feel microthreatened in any way, which is to ask whether your feelings were nudged toward negativity in any way? If "yes," then you were being microaggressed. If "no," we must continue the decision tree.

Were you wondering? If "yes," you were being microaggressed. If "no," we must continue the decision tree.

Were you aware of the behavior at all? If "no," we wouldn't be this far in the tree, so "yes," which means you were being microaggressed.

I too feel objectified when the hotties at the gym stare at me.

I, too, have suffered greatly through this sort of microaggression. It ultimately became galling enough that I took steps.

Gaining 60 pounds (all on the gut area), adopting the unshaved, creepy persona of a wino-stalker-kiddie-park-letch, and returning stare for creepizoid, leering stare... all have worked together to gain me the upper hand.
