I don't know Goatboy, he may be a fundamentalist C or M as far as I know, but his post more or less reflects my first pass sentiments.
What a hot button issue this is. Some folks need to pull back and lighten up, I think.

It's not that big of a deal, but it is. I agree that these guys aren't malicious. They are stupid. Malicioius people use these tactics to control and subjugate women. These dudes just saw that behavior and are monkey-see, monkey-do. Maybe mom should've hugged 'em a few more times or something, I don't know, but I don't like the idea of accusing someone of a crime they aren't committing.
Just stupid comments, like I make all the time. Frustrating that the wiring in some people's heads is so wonky but what it do.
HFCS - a girl on MP posted pictures of her climbing in a sports top and bikini and skitch spammed her photos with rude comments. Even if he said harmless things, if I spammed trip reports with drivel people would be annoyed. His argument is because they are promiscuous photos he gets a pass to 'call her out.' I like to see women's bodies and see them climb and would like to further safeguard instances of such in the future by making it a comfortable thing to do rather than elicit slut shaming.

And that is all I posted, never stated anything about what her body looks like or anything else. I could truly care less about anyone posting pictures of themselves wearing whatever they choose to wear, I was just trying to point out that this person looks like they are seeking attention, then getting upset about the attention they get. . .
We see TONS of people wearing stupid sh#t at the crags here in bishop, sometimes we'll make snide comments, but typically we just pack our sh#t up and get away from people that are obviously attention seekers. I understand though, when you live in a big city it's hard to get a sliver of attention from strangers so you have to wear neon, play loud music, show off whatever your genetics happened to give you, etc. Typically it's muscle stacked jocks climbing shirtless, but sometimes it's prissy girls that love being followed around by big doofy guys. . .

Plus - I was the poster and photographer, not the author, of that report, as clearly stated. I don't edit my pal's gonzo style, which has proven to be quite popular. That's his choice. If you don't like it, I invite you to take it up with him.
Before you backpedal from your TR on the Lost Arrow Tvash, I'll just tell you that I actually enjoyed it, including the dark tone of the content.
What annoys the heck out of me is the self-righteous and apparently disingenuous tone of your posts on this thread.

It's true! I was having a hard time sending this highball boulder problem last week. Kept getting gripped and bailing off the committing mantle. During my next rest I saw a couple of women bouldering in tank tops with their bellys showing and I told them what I'd like to do with them and they ran off crying. I sent the scary mantle no problem on my next go! I'm pretty sure my chest hair count doubled by the next day.
(Also, Benjamin Chapman on MP.com apparently doesn't understand what the 1st amendment is.)

As far as I can see, Skitch, nothing you posted was so offensive it warranted all this. My two cents. But at the end of the day, as I'm sure you know, image, reputation and politics rule. So it can be a fine line, if you choose to flirt with it - just think back to Weiner or Spitzer or countless others.

btw, I don't know if you're a serious, hard-core, dyed-in-the-wool Christian or not (I hope not), but moreover, from someone who's been studying different morality systems lately...
The only thing worse than living in a culture whose sexual mores are influenced by Judeo-Christian moral bs (remember, it doesn't just stop with female subjugation) is living in a culture whose sexual mores are dominated by Judeo-Christian moral bs.

This has nothing to do with sexual mores or political correctness. It is about harassing a human being for doing nothing more than posting climbing pics. It's a about a guy who obviously has a problem with women in general sharing that unfortunate condition and making the world a little shittier place.
It's about a guy being an utter tool, plain and simple.
