Hey Nature,
Christa and I are thinking about flying into Vegas the weekend before Thanksgiving. This gives us the option of Red Rocks, Zion, JT etc. I am sure we could make it somewhere for Sushi and some climbing.....

I've spent a few T-days in Red Rocks. Pluses are cheap flights (some of the cheapest) and great camping under the wings of Air Force fighters North of town, think J-tree shot up refridgerators and such. I've had 'em give me extra low flyby when camped there. Maybe we could get one to land for some uni. Also great ranges of climbing for all, and plentiful. Minuses- fighting cross town traffic to the rocks.
I'm not sold on Zion. Not a great "crag" area. Probably have a commute from anywhere we'd want to raise hell there too. The weather can be good at either that time of year or??? I'd be up for a T-day event .

Don't listen to the "crag wuss", Zion is the center of the universe.
Curiously I approached nature months ago with a suggestion for a November SF at Steve's two acre plot on Rockville Bench (awesome views of the main canyon).

well then I guess you're going to put up or shut and put more pitches in then me at a Sushi fest for once. When you call someone a wuss you must have something "current" to back it up. Sounds like another Ron based flamer competition. You have now guaranteed this thread will go over the top > 3,000 posts of bickering about who's chisel is sharper. My opinion is that Sushifests where cragging is prevalent ie. lots of party time +++++climbing are the funnest.JMHO. Take the bait Ron, give me some answers on the logistics of what we'll "really" climb.
Edit: that's only 24oz of beer talking........

Just so you know... I'm pondering the idea but I need to make it through yosemite (and a few other bumps in my road).
I gotta wonder... would Beatrix be the only woman this time around (like Christa was last year)?

I don't mind a sausage fest. :-)
I don't have a lot of girl friends who climb but maybe I can round someone up to come with me. Would be nice to have another girl to make the trip with.

that's a down rock wren blinny - its a down bag with arm zips and a drawstring at the bottom so you can wear it, belay from it, climb in it, etc...that thing has saved my ass soooo many times winter camping...
