Ironically, when they blew the first nuclear device, there was serious question, even among the main guys, whether the reaction might just destroy the world.
Science has given us tons of cool stuff, but has also given us the knowledge and tools to destroy ourselves. It's too bad human emotional and spiritual maturity hasn't kept up with technology.
In the next 10 or 20 years (probably even sooner) we're going to be in a position to have sh#t the bed here on the this planet.
Hope we rise to the occasion
