I didn't get that many hits on my other sister art thread, so I thought I'd start a new one for this piece.
Debbie did a surrealist piece from when Bob Williams and I were working on the first ascent of a roof in Central Oregon that we named "Jam Exam".
It's 5.11b and at a beautiful spot along the Deschutes River.
I discovered the route and worked it out to the lip. I got everything but the second foot over the lip.
Bob bagged the first ascent, but of course I led it on my next try clean as a whistle....the bastard!! I still love him, R.I.P.
Anyway here's Debbie's beautiful first, with some detail of three different positions from the route.

Thanks IHP!
I'm sending her a link to the thread. She's up in your neck of the woods. She has a beautiful spot up near Rainier!

Jaybro, thanks.
This one is meaningful to me because it was her first climbing work, and because it's from a first ascent that Bob and I did.
Extra special!
OOOPS! I forgot this one...

My paternal grandmother was a folk artist waay back in the day.
She didn't have a lot of money so resorted to making her own paints. I think the legend goes that she used such things as berries, plants, clays, etc. to produce some of these paints.
Deb was always the hero artist in my family, and inspired everyone from my other sister, to myself and all four of my kids in our art. Deb, has been the driving force behind a lot of awesome art.
Thanks Deb!!!!

Not a climbing pic, but I want it in here anyway.
The green name across the front is a watermark to protect her original.

Deb spent a long time looking for this particular sketch.
She did this from a couple photos of me leading Lazy Bum in 78-79....

Thanks Rox, Werner and Jefe.
Of course she's always excited when people like her work, and I'll re-send a link to her.
Jefe, she doesn't have a site, but we've been encouraging her to set one up and I think she's interested.
She has literally hundreds of amazing things to share.
She lives in a beautiful place near Mt. Rainier with her high school sweetheart. She has great kids and toils with bluecollar like so many of us. She deserves to make a total living from her art, but many of you know how hard that is....too make all the pieces of the puzzle come together.
Is a website the number one recommendation?

"Is a website the number one recommendation?"
Yeah, definitely. I'd like to see more, too. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if she can find some sales (assuming she wants to).

hey there, survial.. say, thanks for the wonderful art share..
i had been in a hurry off and on line, so i miss this...
very wonderful stuff...
i love art...
sure wish i could do mine again...
but after divorce, i have come to see that my life is on the 'way out' as to all these things that i love...
i keep my trail going though, and till the soil of what does happen to come my way, though... and as faithful as i can...
god bless... :)

Whether or not your sister Debbie climbs, Survival, she really has captured a classical rockclimber's sense of the action in those images. She deserves promotion! I would like having her site link if she has one.
And say, unless it's best to keep to it to yourself, whereabouts is this 11b roof on the Deschutes? I live near Odin Falls, west of Redmond. -Bruce Adams
