Hey, the topo has not had a major climber died - blame x for doing y story in a long time.

The banker/wall street stuff has lot's of blame, but little understanding and knowledge.

Yeah, this happened last week. Whether Jesus is coming back or not, there was some excitement on Lake Erie.

Apparently Jesus is more powerful than Darwin.

Gotta give Charles credit for trying, though. 135 in one sitting? That would have been quite the haul for him. Luckily, those people won't learn from their mistakes and will end up dead soon anyway.

I say split the cost of the rescue 136 ways. (They got the body, right?)

Well, didn't Jesus say something about giving a man a fish or teaching him to fish?

Experts? (I wasn't there.)

The fish strike back!
Too bad the Walleye didn't team up with something with real teeth and take a larger toll.
Fair is fair, and anglers deserve to take the same chances as their prey!

The sheriff's dept. said there was a plan in place to begin to charge for ice rescues if it happens to the same person more than 3 times in the SAME season. WTF!!??

Imagine if the same standard applied to El Cap...

hey there, say... at a neighbors, we saw a bit of this on the tv clip news...

it seems either way, folks get mad, as to freedom to fish:

if they rescue and make them leave... folks get mad...

yet, if they did not, and let them stay, folks would blame the officials for not being there to save them, and get mad...

it seems very tricky to me....

?wondering, is this the same as the "warning: swim at your own risk--there is no life-guard patrol--(but it would have to posted, or advertised in local law, or what???)

either way---sure wouldnt want someone left with no hope, or worse yet, ignored while in danger... is there any hope for a best way??? just thinking, is all...

*they have rescued ice fisherman here, that have lost vehicle, that were taken out there, but these are small and local isolated rescues... other fisherman, in other sections, remained and were not affect by someone in the thin ice area, that was overloaded.... obviously, this was a situation delt with, as to the one man rescued... (don't know if they have ice fishing signs here, as i am new around here and never had the need to fish, or check on it....
