That person is using the cat wrong. You are suppose to duct tape them to your hands and then use them to face climb. I forget who invented this technique. All of those itty bitty claws really hold well to the rock. Just don't accidently forget you are wearing them and try to wipe the sweat from your face. Those suckers can really claw when they are 500 feet off the deck.

I believe that Aleister Crowley, after being blackballed from the Alpine Club, went out to the local crag and soloed their hardest route with a dog under one arm.

I think we need a post from the batty Limey who did that route BITD in roller skates and boxing gloves if I'm not mistaken. How did he hold his beer can with the boxing gloves on? I thing Grossman posted that pic once.
