Hi,

I'm going to be in Sedona Thanksgiving week with wife and kids. The wife gave me the OK to climb a bit if I can find a partner.

I'm open to try whatever the area has to offer, sport, trad, aid, etc. Not familiar with desert rock, so I dont know what level I would be willing to lead at.

If not, anyone got tips on good hiking advetures in the area?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think I'm going to be around at that time, but can give you lots of info if you want. There are some nice, very moderate spires around if you can dig up a partner. I'll send you an email, but feel free to ask anything up here as well. Erik W. and the Doctor are in the process of writing a guide to Sedona and have tons of info.

I may have a connection for you spyork... you'll have to be on your toes, though.

Hi spyork,
My girlfriend and I will be in Sedona from 11/22 - 11/28. We're looking to do some multi-pitch climbing. We were looking to get a guide to lead since we won't have any pro there. We could go with you instead.
Thanks,
Steve

Thanks Jay! :)

Brian:

I will be arriving on Saturday and leaving on Sat, so I can't climb on that day.

MDclimbing, I will send you an email. I am driving down, so I can bring ropes, gear, etc.

Jay, are you sure you didn't mean heel-toes?

Thanks for the props Steelmnky, there's a ton of new stuff, the mission to mars area is great right now, with a lot of new stuff in surrounding areas.

Shoot me an e-mail if you want more info - I am up to my neck in it.
