November is mine. After spending the summer in the meadows and the high sierra, I'm pretty psyched about staying down in the valley for the month, but this little dose of weather doesn't make me too excited about the prospect.
From those who have experiences with both places during the later fall, which would generally have the nicer weather?

November? I'd go greater Moab, if I had a car, and a warm sleeping bag to be there with. Easy choice...

I'm hoping to get to the Valley as much as possible in the next months as well as other spots currently unvisited. If anyone has weather data that looks great for Y.V. over the next few months feel free to email me. I try to check but sometimes life gets the fun side of my brain sidetracked...Thanks.

It's a toss up. It'll probably be cold for both
places. Have you thought about J-tree?

The Creek can have storms in Nov, but desert storms tend to be short and things dry out quick. Desert nights are cold, but the days are usually pleasant (at most, you might have to find places a little protected from the wind).
The Valley is really hit or miss in Nov. It might not storm at all or it might storm for a week at a time (and after a good soaking many routes will have wet sections for a couple of days).
If you want to maximise your chances of not getting shut down, go to the Creek. But a pleasant Nov in the Valley is pretty sweet.

I'm also just wondering about finding partners that time of year. How easy is it to suck around camp 4 and find someone to climb with by mid november? I know a bunch of people out in Moab, so I'm kinda leaning towards that option.

There are usually plenty of climbers around until the first major storm and then a lot clear out. So even after the weather improves, it gets a little more iffy. But with good weather, there are still climbers around.
With cooler temps and shorter days, more climbers just crag in November. If you can't find a partner, just go to the sunny hangouts like the cookie or the west side of ElCap and you can usually find people that will let you join in.
I would probably head to the Creek. Or, you can stay in Camp 4 until the first major storm and then head to the Creek (you won't be the only climber in Camp 4 with this strategy).
