I knew she was a rather small lady but,, man,I was amazed when I saw the shoe's she wore on the Nose free ascent in the YCA museum exibit.
They are teeny tiny. Like little doll shoes. Does she have to have them custom made?
Any body else seen those shoes?
A four inch crack must be offwidth for her.
Great little movie of her making the "changing corner's" move too.
Good stuff Ken.

Foot fetish? More seriously, I climbed a quite a bit with Hidetaka and Michiko Suzuki in the mid-80's and I remember that Michiko wore a size "1" EB, resoled with Fire rubber, of course. She could have worn those things as earrings.

I toproped Baby Apes with her BITD. She had a pair of slippers with a lot of Elastic in them that curled them up when she wasn't wearing them. I swear they looked like tennis balls.

I remember meeting Lynn Hill. Shaking her hand was like shaking a childs hand. Tiny, with no grip. I guess size doesn't matter.

I'm with Webee, I'm 6'4 with pretty big hands and I'd consider anything over 4" OW for sure.
