Any updates on the N Ridge/W Ridge conditions on Conness. I saw the photos from 1 June. Looked pretty snowy, but I know things are melting fast down here. thanks

Thanks, Khanom. The pic is especially helpful. Looks like the snow is melting out fast. Per the Mono Lake Ranger station today looks like the road opening got pushed out to the 25th (was 21st) of this month.

Can you post up on the conditions (and possibly email me) when you get back? We were up there on June 1 to check out the SW face (posted pics in that other thread you were alluding to).

Climbed Matthes yesterday. Looks like they went with the original Saddlebag road opening date. Gate is open. N/W Ridge of Conness next weekend!

Did the N ridge on the 17th. The gate was locked at the time.....added about 40 minutes to the approach. The ridge was pretty clean of snow......what snow that is there is easly avoided. We went down the typical descent and depending on your ability you may want an ice axe.....but the snow was pretty soft on the way down.
