So where would you? Keep in mind I am leaving it there to go climb some E. Side peaks and want it to:
A. Be there when I return.
B. Not be covered in tickets or the Denver Boot.
C. Not towed!

Mono?
....

What do you got for me?

the backcountry parking lot at the beginning of the Tuolumne Lodge road, that should work--it is about 10 miles west of Tioga Pass. Mono Pass trailhead probably works too....

You can park overnight along 120 up until October 15th. Don’t think there is any time limit. I see rigs parked at the trailhead to Cathedral Lakes for long periods of time. Last year I left my rig at the backcountry lot that IC described for over two weeks with no problems. That spot seems a little safer to me… more out of the way and not on the main road. Don’t leave any bear bait!

Actually, now that I think about it… maybe there should be some parking rules for all of the retarded tourons so that they don’t cause a freakin’ accident… I mean a human error…

Good Question...

Depending on where you head in many of the trailhead parking areas are safe.
Keep the cooler hidden...

If you are going to be starting from TM then the beta on the BC parking is good, otherwise check with the forest service folks when yo get your BC permit (I'm assuming).

Cheers,

Anyone know if the approach to Conness is still full on snow?
Either the long (Young's LK) or the shorter (though I hear the road to Saddlebag is still closed)...
Thanks

According to the Mammoth Ranger station last week the Saddlebag Rd is opening on 21 June.

UPDATE
Just called the Mono Lake ranger station. Looks like the date got pushed out to 25 June.
