I was playing with (and in) my FISH double ledge yesterday, lubed the inserts and was wondering what the best, most optimized way of putting together and taking apart this ledge. Corners first then the middle? or Vice Versa? Getting ready for El Cap next month - woohoo! haven't been in this thing in a while!

Gracias, Mike

On behalf of Fish Corporation, I'd like to suggest that you just flay your ledge above the haul bag and haul it already setup.

Even on lower angle rock.

If it wears out, just buy another one.

and that would just be an opportunity to fill your other big wall needs, like a "Fish" brand shirt or chalk bag.

DOn't leave home with essential gear like a "Fish" tank top.

ussualy best with most ledges to do the middle first, then the ends. but I guess I never really tried it the otherway.

good luck!

I don't think it matters where you start.
I start at a corner, pulling it apart from the side, so I can stick my foot through the opposite corner...
It gives you something to pull against.

It's the folding it up that used to confuse me,
until I finally pestered Russ enough that...
I mean Russ was nice enough to make a video of how to fold it.
I'll try and find the link.

Rip it apart and stuff it in the bag.

I find this works best for my (non-fish) ledge.

Undo outside middle and one outside corner, fold triangle towards middle.
Repeat on other side.
Get bag ready to stuff ledge into.
fold at last mid point, pull fabric triangle out and wrap tightly around poles.
Slide bag up bundled ledge.

Presto Chango !
