You Yanks are gonna have to do a little better, otherwise Simon's gonna go broke mailing postcards to Canada. :-)
Ed Cooper had a classic shot of someone climbing that route in the 1960s, which looks very similar. The seam paralleling the main crack, to the right, was the giveaway. Plus I've done the route a few times, though it's now pretty greasy.

I went back to scan the whole slide and it won't. Bit like my wife's Maxima today... jiggled the wires and it started but no amount of jiggglin' is making the scanner notice my slide.
Oh well, I found this online (no credit given so maybe someone will help me identify who this is...)
Here is the whole right side. Always nice, but this route was polished back in the '70's!

Does "La Cosita" mean "the slice", by any chance?
I think it's always been polished - it's a natural water course. When it rains, it's like a little river running right down the crack.
I was tempted to play along with Simon, and throw out some spurious guesses, to see if we could string it out. But it was just too tempting!
Edit: Thanks, Kevin - why am I not surprised? My knowledge of Spanish is negligible, and I don't think there's a French analog. Sounds like a slang term, anyway. And it's definitely not a Norwegian word!
