Someone has listed the Elaine Vulgarian Digest on eBay today. The current bid is $20. Just FYI, in case any of you are interested. Should be a fun one to watch.

Thanks for the info. I have one that I bought when it was issued, so I'll see how wealthy I really am!

Either I had a subscription or I acquired the Vulgarian Digests as they were published, and of course I remember this issue. I was living in England, and to my recollection I sent them on to a pal who had just fallen while climbing and was in a hospital bed for six weeks (in traction, I believe) while his bones knit. He appreciated the gesture, although with that many weeks of tedium I knew it was only of trivial assistance.

Is anyone aware of a way of reading the vulgarian digest's without owning an original. Are they still copyrighted? Does anyone have pdf versions?

There is a rule, enforced by Werner and John Stannard (don’t mess, forcryingoutloud), which says that if you are going to read the Vulgarian Digests that you must have an original in hand.
I think it has something to do with the smell.
Surprisingly there is no copyright expiration on this.

Never seen one.
Is it true that they are all written from the bottom up?
If you are interrupted while reading you need to start at the bottom again?

Indeed. Werner and I have established a rule on this enforced by what insiders call "The Company." You really don't want to mess with them.
They have already visited hobo dan.
