I am headed out for a week in this area and I wonder if it is worth it to take my mountain bike? Thinking about a one day epic around the White Rim trail.

Also thinking about climbing a tower, Castleton? Not sure since I'll be solo.

Anyone else going to be in the area? I'm in crappy shape, but on the plus side I do own a big rack of cams!

I appreciate any feeback offered. I probably won't leave till Sunday to give the current storm a little time to pass by.

Thanks!

If you do the White Rim you won't need to carry much water.

But the snow is going to melt quickly.

I'd imagine with all the snow we've had that the White Rim trail would be pretty sloppy.

It might be smarter to take my snowboard instead of my bike, hit Telluride along the way. I know it's supposed to snow again Thursday.

I'd love to get in a lap on the White Rim though.

Thanks very much for the offer! I'm deadset on going to canyonlands though. I haven't been since last spring and I've got to get my fix!

I'm planning on blasting off Sunday. My real quandry is just what quiver of toys I'm gonna need.

Thats the kind of dilemma I need to have more often! Thanks again for the offer.

Quandary or quantity of laundry? lol Just funnin' ya.

Yeah, agonizing over what toys to carry is the story of my life.
We're gonna need a bigger boat.

The webcam is nice for checking snow levels (except at night):
