Facebook: Don McComas................How about having a gun pulled on you today. Love the RP Police.
NOTE, I am not anti police however the lies and distrust I've encountered from the Rohnert Park & Petaluma Police over the last 15 months is something I wouldn't ever believe if I heard it from someone else. This is just a time I was smart enough to hit record as I was approached at my home.
Backdrop: I was hooking the boat up when the officer pulled slowly into my court. When he rounded infront of my house he stopped yet did nothing, then crept forward and instead of leaving toward Snyder he rounded the court opposite of me, then stopped facing me for a few minutes, doing nothing but pointing straight at me/my house. After a couple minutes I was concerned enough to pull out my phone and hit record. Glad I did. The arragance he showed me shouldn't come from an officer of the law. They should de-escalate, not escalate or provoke....
Very thankful my 5 year old daughter and the rest of the family were not home as well..

Go to 2:43.

The cop is telling him to get his hand out of his pocket, but when the cop is saying this, his hand is not in his pocket. He's holding the camera with one hand and you can see his other hand in the picture pointing at the cop.

In making this order, the cop is implicitly lying, stating that the man has his hand in his pocket, when this is clearly not the case. What is chilling about this is that this is the kind of excuse cops make to shoot people.

There's a history here. He says this officer has been harrassing him for over a year:

I was hooking my boat to the truck, doing NOTHING else when he decides to once again (few dozen times over the past year) stop infront of my house and just look while acting like he's calling something in. He then pulled forward, turned around facing my house and just stayed there for a few minutes. I did NOTHING wrong, he had ZERO reason to approach me, get out of his damn car etc. He smiled chuckling while taking my picture from inside his car. If I were stopped by the police for doing something illegal, I get it, listen and move on, but f*#k that when he approaches me for 100% no reason. Nope!

I've tried going higher up in the Rohnert Park Police force for over a year and it's gotten me NO WHERE.

No it's not, his hand is only visible after the cop tells him to remove it from his pocket and has already drawn his gun on an obviously paranoid, agitated, irrational and very suspicious acting citizen. The citizen then I suspect pulled his hand from his pocket as evidenced by the keys that he removed with his hand and then laid upon his vehicles hood. At that point is the only time you can visibly see the citizens hand in the video.

This is a classic example of believing what you prefer to be true. People do it all the time in a lot of different situations. It happens more often than not with these anti-cop videos and those who view them.

One major fact of this video is that you do not know the totality of circumstances surrounding this incident. So you make up your own theories of what's going on to sorta "fill in the blanks". You see things that are not there, and you miss others that are. I'm not saying that the officer exercised his best reasonable judgment or made all sound decisions, but this idiot citizen surely did all he could to antagonize the situation at least as much as the officer. Once the officer realized the guy was just a paranoid nut, he quickly made a retreat and attempted to de-escalate the situation.

The drawing of the firearm was justified, but could have easily been avoided. The officer did no one any service by putting himself in a position to make contact with the citizen. He could have run his background check down the street without pulling up in front of the house.

And how, from the video, can you tell the camera guy is "obviously paranoid and irrational"?

Methinks that cop needs some relocation to let's say... Camden, NJ. Perspective will do him good.

That's why men shouldn't be allowed to be cops. Well, men without brains and judgement.

I betcha if that "paranoid" camera guy didn't have his camera out that there would have likely been a beating/shooting. Notice how quickly he retreated after mulling over the public portrayal of his behavior for everyone to see.

Division is part of the game prior to a probable collapse. They can't have the proles attacking the real source of the cancer. Instead it's constant and steady division and distraction. Race baiting, religion, hatred of low-ranking "authority" figures... Bloodthirsty, almost comical, scary boogeymen overseas.

Same 'ol playbook. And it'll work too... :(

Oh, it's on for sure. Video of Muslim Rev Louis Farrakhan calling on cops to be killed during the upcoming march on Washington DC. My money is on the cops. 10,000 blacks, as he calls for, trying to kill cops ain't enough although that kind of BS will invariably be unbelievably ugly.

Quote:
"On Oct. 10, Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam are holding a rally on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. to mark the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March.

“Death is sweeter than to continue to live and bury our children while white folks give the killer hamburgers. Death is sweeter than watching us slaughter each other to the joy of a 400-year-old enemy,” the radical orator told the energized audience."

I've had cops pull guns on me several times...BFD...Maybe the hyper-ventilating nutjob with the camera should have offered the cop a donut..Maybe the cop would have holstered the pistol..?

Well clearly the videographer wasn't doing anything illegal, else he'd be shot dead right now.

Now if he (V-man) was in fear for his life, having been threatened by a gun-toting wannabe nazi, could he have ordered in a drone strike on the guy?

both men appear to be in the wrong.

Perhaps. It's not clear.

But what is clear is a cop that is in no imminent danger not just drawing his gun but briefly pointing it directly at the "suspect" who is standing on his own private property.

That's hair-raising, regardless!

Most cops go their entire career without ever even drawing their weapon. I wonder how many times this "military-grade" cop has drawn (and pointed) his.
