So, not to beat a dead horse, but this guy must be a pretty good rock climber, eh? I remember when this route was on the cover of Climbing magazine, and I've always thought it was an incredible line. 11 pitches of 5.12, 15pitches in all. Wow, just wow.

The dude is so scary good. His ascents are so far out there that it scares most normal climber folks. All you can do is shake your head in wonderment and amazement.

Delhi Dog, I always like your one liners, and ^^^^ that was a good one. Reading the writeup
http://www.rockandice.com/lates-news/honnold-free-solos-el-sendero-luminoso-5-12d
makes me respect him all the more (oh, he really cares! ;-) ). I don't like it when wonderful young people gamble with their lives (gee Dar, did you ever do that) but at least he rehearsed it and presumably scoped out suspect holds.

Impressive!
This route is far from straight forward... High steps and reachy moves to insecure feet, its way sustained. I'm sure to Alex it was easy breezy compared to the 12b slab finish on Half Dome. Bravo to Mr.H!

OK, this climbing stuff is getting boring. I want to see some just plain levitation. Just pick your feet up off the ground, no touching walls, and hold the rest of your body still.
