So what's with the P in the Coonyard diamond? Looks like some other hieroglyph to the left.
I hope the dood uses the proceeds to buy a book on proper lighting.

Actually, they claim (and I believe this is correct) the "Diamond P" is Salathé's mark which Yvon stole as his own. The CW on the pin is Chuck Wilts.

I agree Boo. How ELSE could you establish appraise the value of a Salathe pin than to run it through an auction at too high a value? It is clear though Salathe's pins are worth a great deal.

Reminds me of a conversation I had years ago with an honest and ethical importer of authentic Chinese antiques. After three or four deals, one of his suppliers invited him to tour the authentic antique factory.
