I'm sure it was just a typo, but it is "Eva."
And yes I, for one, have been a longtime fan of the
dear woman. I have every album and each one
virtually memorized. She got cancer in her hip bone, which
spread through her body, causing her death some years back.
What a tremendous loss.

It was melanoma, from a cancerous mole on her back, that then spread to her lungs and bones. As a melanoma survivor, this had stuck in my memory. I didn't move to DC until a few years after her death. I'm sorry I never saw her play live.

A cousin cave me a CD of hers years ago. We listen to it all the time. That damn cancer.

Oh Had I A Golden Thread is one of my favorite songs of all times. I love how flawlessly she hits her high notes!
