Discovered her show while channel surfing a few months ago.
Provocative, entertaining, even informative on occasion.
Is anybody safe from her scathing commentary?
Can't wait till she weighs in on us Canadians.

Any Rachel Maddow Fans on ST?
No. But I do watch her silly commentary every once in a while...
She's the Sean Hannity of the left. Totally polarized and dogmatic. Everything is predictable and partisan. She tries to come of as super-intellectual, but when you allow dogma to rule your show it just gets boring and predictable.
EDIT:
Would love to see her go toe to toe with any conservative talking head, but none of them have the guts er brains to do it.
I doubt she invites them onto her show....

On the spectrum of media talking heads, she's obviously well to the left, but not nearly as far as a counterpart such as Glenn Beck.
I only catch her show on occasion, and it's a bit more accessible than Olbermann, who sometimes approached the hyberbole of a Hannity or O'Reilly. If one can keep in mind that there is a bias in her reporting and story selection, and one seeks information from other sources, she's not too bad.
Can't wait for the excoriating ranting that you are about to hear from Repugs on Maddow....
Edit: It's started...wouldn't you know bluering got trolled like a whitemouth bass by this one!

She has a PHD. Hannity is a college drop out. Oh sh#t, I just graduated to the political wing of the forum. Time to leave before I develop a cross addiction!

Rachel seems to offer far more credible, tolerant and well informed commentary than her counterparts on the far right, like those guys Beck and Limbaugh.

I agree Kevin and Ap, but let's not make her some bastion of unbiased truth.

some bastion of unbiased truth
Could such an individual actually exist, particularly in politics or broadcast journalism? Hard to imagine.

"...but let's not make her some bastion of unbiased truth."
Don't think anyone was painting her that way.
But for the sake of argument, who would you say is her ideologic counterpoint? Hannity? O'Reilly? Limbaugh? Beck?

I'd suggest one of the smart old time conservatives such as William Buckley. Well- read and reasonable. Alright I'm out of here for good!

She is very entitled to speak. God bless that.
Have you ever tried to live for yourself? Help others and not ask the Gov to jump in?
I'm confused on why she makes any sense. Give the feds your money and we will save the world! I trust myself more than any politically minded figure. I believe i can spend my money wisely and truly help folks.
I'm sorry I trust myself more than folks I don't know, or want my money even though I don't know them.
I hope everyone gets frustrated and starts making millions! Money shouldn't be free, and folks should not look toward the gov for funds. It is all very un-American. Am I wrong? simple question.

I'd tend to agree with Q-ball, or course.

Maybe O'Reilly and sometimes Limbaugh, make some good ORIGINAL, FREE_SPOKEN thoughts. Many others just yank the party line.
Listen to Michael Savage for some real free-thinking and original (and ancient) thought.
I'll go down on record as calling Savage my closest mindset.
He's a big fan of the Media Matters types....

"I'd tend to agree with Q-ball, or course."
Fine & dandy, except that 90% of Q-Balls post had nothing to do with the OP.
Savage? Oh, my.
My, my.

You're trolling, because they have very similar ideologies.
Charles Schumer was even agreeing with Savage on one show about handing over port security to an Arabian country.
The only Repubs to agree with Savage ON HIS SHOW were Lt Col. Allen West, Coburn of Oklahoma, Peter KIng of NY, and Culberson of Texas.
Tom McClintock too, I think...

So f*#king what! He is initiating more war than Bush!!!!!!
