Even though I live in Lander (20 years ago it wasn't so full of NOLSys and the beau launge (the French term for the Beautiful People=beautiful clothing in French)), yeah! Old Freaks, cranky, live on the other side of town, by the sewer ponds, where it's always ten degrees colder in the winter than on the Beau Launge side; demarcate the property boundary line for the Mormon Missonaries and tell them if they cross it again, you're calling the Sheriff; have a disturbing resemblance to a buffed Charles Manson when I refuse to cut my hair to get the goat of the droids I work with: live in a straw bale house we built ourselves: don't vote because like some evil Hindu god, all politics is just differing faces of the rich f*#ks who just tolerate the rest of us so they'll have someone to wait their tables and pump their gas. Any other questions?

I grew up in Ketchum/Sun Valley Idaho in the 1950's & 60's, in a (lower) "working class" family. It was a great childhood in a great place.
I was gone during the big growth-boom of the late 60's to mid-80's.
After moving back to Ketchum in 1985, I discovered things had gotten much more fashionable.
We decided on a fashionable term for our place in Sun Valley culture and became:
"Petit Blanc."
What the French call their "poor white trash."
